Liz and her husband, Rev. Jim Curley, have been married for 16 years and faithfully serve at Christian Faith Outreach in Ashland, Kentucky. Together, they are deeply involved in jail and recovery ministry, reaching individuals in some of their most vulnerable seasons. Liz shares her personal journey to bring hope, healing, and encouragement to those facing addiction and brokenness. Her passion is helping others find lasting freedom and a renewed life through faith and recovery. |

Pastor Michael Cook
Pastor Michael T. Cook, LPCC, NCC, ThD, MA, MRE, is an ordained minister, licensed clinician, and seasoned counselor with over three decades of experience serving individuals, families, and communities. Ordained in 1994, he has faithfully served in ministry as an assistant pastor, senior pastor to four congregations, and as a chaplain within a rescue mission. His ministry also includes extensive involvement in jail and prison outreach, reflecting a lifelong commitment to reaching individuals in some of life’s most challenging circumstances. In addition to his pastoral leadership, Pastor Cook is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor through the Ohio CSWMFT Board and a National Certified Counselor. He has provided mental health services across a wide range of settings, including college, family, youth, and community counseling, as well as Christian and pastoral counseling environments. His clinical and ministry experience uniquely positions him to bridge faith and evidence-based care. Pastor Cook holds a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, along with an advanced degree in Christian Counseling with specialized certifications in counseling adults, adolescents, children, and healthy sexuality. He also earned a Doctor of Theology and a Master of Arts in Religious Education. He is a Presidential Member of the American Association of Christian Counselors. His passion is to impact individuals holistically through a Bio-Psycho-Social-Spiritual approach to counseling; integrating clinical excellence with faith-based principles—while ultimately guiding individuals toward healing, restoration, and a deeper connection with the Great Counselor, Jesus Christ. |

William “Rusty” Broughton serves as Head Usher and a dedicated leader within the Mended Recovery Program at Christian Faith Outreach (CFO), where he and his family have been faithfully connected for over seven years. CFO has become more than a place of worship—it is home, and Rusty’s leadership reflects that deep sense of belonging and commitment to others. In his role, Rusty is intentional about creating an environment where every individual feels welcomed, valued, and safe. He takes great care in supporting visitors, guests, and speakers, ensuring that each person experiences both hospitality and respect from the moment they arrive. Recovery ministry is at the heart of Rusty’s life and calling. With over six years of sobriety from drugs and alcohol, he brings both lived experience and unwavering compassion to those he serves. He is actively involved in the Mended Recovery Program and works professionally as a Peer Support Specialist, walking alongside individuals with encouragement, accountability, and hope as they pursue healing and restoration. Rusty is currently working toward becoming a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), further strengthening his ability to serve others. Whether in ministry or in his professional role, his mission remains the same: to meet people where they are and help guide them forward into a life of freedom and purpose. |

Charlene Shepherd is a retired nurse, devoted mother of eight, and a passionate servant-leader within the recovery community. Since 2017, she has been actively involved with Christian Faith Outreach (CFO), where she faithfully supports individuals and families navigating recovery and restoration. With over 20 years of experience in grant writing, Charlene has successfully secured funding for impactful community initiatives, including after-school and backpack programs within public school systems. Her ability to connect vision with resources has helped expand outreach efforts and meet tangible needs in the community. Blending her clinical background with deep compassion and a heart for ministry, Charlene is a dedicated advocate for children, families, and those on the path to recovery. Her life reflects a steadfast commitment to service, bringing hope, stability, and practical support to those she serves. |
